THE CHALLENGE OF CONVERSION
The challenges of conversion are myriad and diversified. This means that becoming converted to Christ exposes us to countless diverse challenges, one of which is the obligation to change in thinking, thought and lifestyles. The challenge to change is as broad and diverse as the distance between Eden and Gethsemane and the powers between which we are caught are as unchangeable as heaven and hell presided over by the unalterable God and the changeless Satan. They both rule with eternal powers offering their victory gifts of eternal bliss and unchanging torment.
Yet, change for good we must suffer as we continue to press the battle in Jesus’ name. Yes, the success of the gospel hinges and rests upon man’s power and his willingness to change. And, that’s what repentance is all about, change for the better. As a matter a fact, since Eden God has sought to bring humanity back to Himself through change and adjustments. In Eden man changed to a negative of going away from God and in Christ humanity can change back to following after God through Christ.
